QDMS provides convenience and a record of auditable history for Revised Documents

In the Engineering and Construction industries, project documents are revised very often.

The proper maintenance and distribution of revised documents is an important facet of document control and QDMS ensures that this process is managed effectively.

In the QDMS document control system, revised documents are registered into the Master Document Register. When this occurs, previous versions are automatically archived into the Document History – which is a repository of all revised documents.

The automated functionality of the document history is key feature of the QDMS document control system. Users can conveniently process revised documents into the system without the need to maintain a register of superseded documents, as they are all stored and recorded automatically for auditability..

Revised documents are distributed, to previous recipients through a feature called a Pending Transmittal, which is created automatically in the QDMS system to ensure that all project members are working to the latest revision.
